Remote User Interface Designer
Job description
As a candidate, you'll be valued for your unique background and perspectives at Peerdom.
We strive to create an inclusive and transparent work environment where every voice is heard and acknowledged. You'll be part of a team that gets its strength from diversity. We prioritise collaboration, cooperation, understanding, loyalty, passion, support and dedication.
Additionally, you can expect a strong emphasis on work-life balance with:
- flexible working hours
- a minimum of 14 weeks of maternity leave
- 4 weeks of paternity leave
- paid sick time
- no time tracking
Our company is remote-first, but we also hold team gatherings, known as Peerdom Camps, every year to bring everyone together regardless of location. For those who are close to Bern, Switzerland, there is a bi-monthly team day to ensure that you can connect with your peers.
Your mission
- Research, design, innovate and prototype the experience of mapping modern organisations to visually understand themselves in ways they haven't imagined before.
- Pave new ways for how organisations of any size (start ups to multi-nationals) and any kind (volunteers, NGOs, and for-profit enterprises) share information for decision-making.
- Democratise organization design by making it simple, visual and accessible to all members in an organisation, including those without management experience.
Your profile
- Bring exceptional design skills, originality and a great sense of aesthetics to our product design circle.
- Focus on details, but also zoom out to keep the 'big picture' in mind.
- Reduce highly complex problems into iterative product releases that move us forward in every bi-weekly sprint.
- Perform independently, take self-initiative. You're the expert of your domain.
- Collaborate with software developers, business strategists and other designers in a fast-paced, tightly-knit, interdisciplinary, outcome-focussed way.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey design concept ideas through demos using tools like Figma or Principle.
Requirements
- Language: English
- Location: Remote. Anywhere in the world, preferably in time zones around GMT -7 or +7.
- Minimum level of employment: 80%.
- Inclusion: In case of equal qualification, preference will be given to under-represented groups.
Compensation
- Salary range: 75'000 - 95'000 CHF for Switzerland. We determine salary depending on a transparent compensation model that accounts for geographic location, market value, and peer-reviewed competency.
- Equity: Possible. We're happy to count you as one of the early peers at Peerdom, and we believe in shared ownership for those who want to help Peerdom succeed in the long-term.
